Professional photographer in Lyon
Images that tell your story
I’m Céline Schmitter, a professional photographer in Lyon. I am passionate about telling your stories: the unique bond you share with your four-legged companions, the dedication reflected in an artisan’s movements as they shape each creation, or the athletic commitment and intensity that drive you every day.
I love talking about the things I’m passionate about. That’s why this ‘About Me’ section is a bit long, but it’s also the perfect chance for you to learn more about me, my journey, how my disability reshaped the course of my life, and my vision of photography. Happy reading!

Photography – What started as a simple passion back in 2012…
Who could have imagined that a raffle would shape my life? In 2012, when I was 13, my grandmother won a small camera at a raffle we were attending. She had no use for it, so she decided to give it to me. That was the start of my great love affair with photography. Like many budding photographers, I started by taking pictures of the flowers in my parents’ garden, then my very first cat, Pitchou, before finally bringing my camera along on every walk or vacation.

Thanks to my studies and my family, I’ve had the chance since 2014 to travel both within France and abroad (including Canada, Australia, and the United States…)

These travels made me realize how much I love animal photography, especially wild birds. I also discovered that I’m incapable of going out without my camera—the risk of feeling frustrated if I can’t capture the incredible landscapes right in front of me is just too high.

In 2023, two little tornadoes entered my life. Maya and Zéphyr, my two cats, would become a true source of inspiration. These non-stop bundles of energy each have their own strong personalities and are not easy to photograph. However, nothing is more beautiful than having photo memories of them: from their first moments in the apartment, to discovering the outdoors at my partner’s parents’ house, or taking their first steps in the snow. They are the ones who made me want to get into pet photography, to give other pet parents the opportunity to capture memories that will last a lifetime.

… turned into my full-time job in 2026.
Among my other passions is biology. I wanted to understand how our bodies work, why we can’t cure everything, and how I could help advance research into treatments for diseases. So, I threw myself into biology studies, hoping to one day become a specialized cancer researcher. After seven years of study, including a few years in laboratories, alongside numerous hip operations since 2022 and discovering my disability (a form of brittle bone disease), I chose—for both my physical and mental health—not to continue on this path.
I had always told myself that if I ever had to change careers, I would try to make a living from my other passion: photography. I wanted to make a positive, immediate impact on people’s lives. That is why, in 2026, I launched ‘CS création photos’ as a micro-entrepreneur recognized as a TIH (disabled independent worker). So now, I am officially a professional photographer in Lyon! Granted, it’s not the same as finding a cure for cancer, but I hope my photos will bring you exactly what you came here looking for—whether that’s a pocket of happiness, a way to build lifelong memories, or a tool to showcase your business!
The philosophy behind “CS création photos“
As you’ve probably noticed by reading this far, I have several passions and am interested in many different things. That’s why I chose to bring this same variety into my work as a professional photographer in Lyon:
Pet photographer
It allows me to bring happiness, joy, and memories to families who love their pets like their own children.
Craftsmanship photographer
My goal is to support artisans. I want to help them showcase the beauty of their work and their creations.
Photographe de sport
I practiced baton twirling for 15 years. I then turned to ultimate frisbee whenever my health issues allowed. As a huge fan of niche sports, I am dedicated to capturing, through my images, the commitment and emotions felt by the athletes and their audience.
Landscape and wildlife photographer
I offer my photos for sale both as digital downloads (wallpapers) and as high-quality prints to elevate your interior décor.
When it comes to editing your photos, my goal is to recreate the moment exactly as we experienced it. At ‘CS création photos,’ you generally won’t find heavy retouching or complete color changes. Instead, each photo you select will be enhanced to showcase you at your best, removing distracting elements (like leashes, collars, flies, or branches) and bringing out the true colors and light effects we witnessed during our session—which can sometimes be difficult to capture in-camera.
